IEC 62474 – Declarable Substance List Updated

The IEC 62474 Declarable Substance List (DSL) was updated on January 12, 2017 following the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) addition of substances to the EU REACH Candidate List on the same day. The update includes those newly added REACH SVHCs that may be constituents of EEE products. A few additional maintenance updates were also made to the DSL.

IEC – IEC 62474 Declarable Substances List (DSL) Updated

The IEC 62474 Declarable Substances List (DSL) was updated on June 23, 2016 to include the SVHC added to the REACH Candidate List on June 20, 2016. A correction was also made to the entry for “Perfluorononan-1-oic-acid and its sodium and ammonium salts”. Additional information about the SVHC is included in the article above titled “EU – One SVHC added to REACH Candidate List”.

The entry for “Perfluorononan-1-oic-acid and its sodium and ammonium salts” was changed from a substance entry to a substance group entry and the three substances in this group were added as reference substance.

IEC 62474 Declarable Substance List Updated – April 8, 2015

An update to the IEC 62474 declarable substance list (DSL) and data exchange format was published on April 8, 2015. Regulatory changes prompted 5 new and modified substance entries. Nearly 30 other changes were implemented as part of a year-long DSL review to identify substances whos names have changed in regulatory usage and to implement common naming conventions.
