{"id":1761,"date":"2020-04-20T13:17:06","date_gmt":"2020-04-20T17:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rohs.ca\/news\/?p=1761"},"modified":"2021-03-28T20:33:56","modified_gmt":"2021-03-29T00:33:56","slug":"ipc-1754-amendment-2-is-approved-at-ballot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rohs.ca\/news\/2020\/04\/20\/ipc-1754-amendment-2-is-approved-at-ballot\/","title":{"rendered":"IPC-1754 \u2013 Amendment 2 is Approved at Ballot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IPC-1754 Materials and Substances Declaration for Aerospace and Defense and Other Industries, Amendment 2 was approved March 2020 and is expected to be published in May 2020.<\/p>\n<p>IPC-1754 supports several material declaration features needed by Aerospace and several other industries that go beyond the IPC-1752 and IEC 62474 standards, including declaring manufacturing processes and process chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Amendment 2 to the standard add:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Additional data fields to support supplier declaration of information needed for the EU SCIP database<\/li>\n<li>Declaration of substance groups when specific substances are not known<\/li>\n<li>Declaration of exemptions (such as EU RoHS exemptions) to allow declaration data to be more readily exchanged with IPC-1752 and IEC 62474<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When published, IPC-1754 AM2 will be available on the IPC webstore<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> IPC online store, <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.ipc.org\/\">https:\/\/shop.ipc.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IPC-1754 Materials and Substances Declaration for Aerospace and Defense and Other Industries, Amendment 2 was approved March 2020 and is expected to be published in May 2020.
