Once finalized, the regulation will replace the existing Commission Regulation (EC) No 278\/2009 for ecodesign of external power supplies.\u00a0 The current draft suggests a transition date for the new requirements starting April 1, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed regulation specifies requirements for no-load power consumption, average active efficiency, and various information requirements. The energy efficiency requirements are segmented into the following four categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AC-AC external power supplies, except low voltage and multiple voltage output external power supplies<\/li>\n<li>AC-DC external power supplies, except low voltage and multiple voltage output external power supplies<\/li>\n<li>Low voltage external power supplies<\/li>\n<li>Multiple voltage output external power supplies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The no-load power consumption requirements are summarized in Table 4 and the average active efficiency in Table 5 (unofficial).
